This news is not so new but still current... DreamWorks has acquired rights to Japanese Manga "Ghost in the Shell" and wants to adapt this to a live-action movie. Director is supposed to be Steven Spielberg. I`m really excited because I think the anime is one of the best movies ever so very hard to beaten or even to be as excellent as it. Release date wil definitely not be before 2009.

登場キャラクターはポリゴンで描かれているが座標移動などの概念はなく、あくまでも従来の2D対戦格闘の延長線上のシステムになっている。使用基板はTaito Type X2を使用していて、 ハードウェア面としての特徴は今までのシリーズと違い、1枚の基板につき1人までしかプレイ出来ず、LANケーブルを使用した基板間による対戦プレイとなり、乱入プレイの可否も選択が可能になる。

現在ハリウッドで「ドラゴンボールZ」の実写映画化が着々と進んでいるそうですが、ついに撮影地と監督が決定。来年1月から撮影が開始されるとのこと。

最近上映されたCGをふんだんに使った映画「トランスフォーマー」
これの次回作となる「トランスフォーマー2」を製作するためにDreamWorksとMicheal Bay,Steven Spielbergが契約しました。
映画の公開は現在では2009年6月29日を目標にしているようです。

１では180万ポリゴンを使ったキャラクター、3万近いコントールリグを使用するなど、とんでもないことをしてましたが、2年後となる2はどうなるのかはとても興味深いです。

前回紹介した、フルＣＧ映画「BEOWULF(ベオウルフ)」のモーキャプ画像が公開されています。

普段私はマーカーを37個しか使わないのですが 今回映画に使用したマーカーの数はなんと体に５０個、 顔に150個！！
さすがハリウッド数が違います。
より精度の高いモーションを撮るためでしょうか？

私も見ましたが映画「トランスフォーマー」の登場キャラクターの高解像度画像が公式ＨＰで公開されています。
サイズはなんと5400×3600 pixel！！

私は普段640×480でレンダリングしてるのですが 比べ物になりません。

ポスター用かに作ったのかもしれませんが、この大きさの画像だと否が応でも、荒が見えてしまいます。

しかしこのサイズでレンダリングできる環境、自信には脱帽です。

初めてみた時に実写の映画と普通に見間違いました。
どうやらフルCGの映画で、実在する俳優さんをデジタルダブルによって登場させてるらしいです。

公開日は日本：2008年05月08日、海外：2007年11月11日だそうです。
国内公開は来年ですが今年でこの技術が確立してるのはすごいと思いました。

So, for the past few days I've been trying to organize a list of every single online "making of" article I could find. Here's the story so far, I reckon there's some 300. Hope you guys can use it, too:

The Finalists

Bored with nothing to do for their school holidays, Badrol invites his best friend Lim to go on a camping trip at his old Kampong where he grew up, with intentions to experience some long-forgotten true Malaysian life in his Grandfather’s durian orchard. However their simple holiday trip is cut short by the discovery of a clue that leads them closer to the legend of the mystery house deep in the forest. Together with their newly found friends, Rajoo the animal-whispering boy, Ros the village beauty, and her two mischievous twin brothers, they work together to unravel the secrets surrounding the small Kampong.

The film's working title is "Geng" which basically means a gang of friends in Malay. The movie will showcase Malaysian culture and values and beautiful landscapes. "GENG" is a story about teenagers, friendship, unity and an adventure filled with comedy and action. Softwares used in production are Autodesk Maya 8.0, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere and others.

北米版Blur-ray Discソフトの品質に関しての記事です。検証に使用しているのはVAIO type Aのようです。

この記事は2回目のソフト検証についてですが、やはり画質は良いようです。諸事情により日本語字幕は入れられていないようですが、BD再生機を持っている方は参考にされても良いのではないでしょうか。

南アフリカの映画監督いはく、「誰でも低予算で映画を制作できるということを証明したかった。

アフリカには映画を撮りたくても資金がなくてできない人たちが大勢いる」

ということでカメラ機能付き携帯電話のみを使用した映画撮影を成功させたらしいです。

けど予算１６万ドル（約１９００万円）かかっているのでこれはどうとらえるべきなのでしょうか？

今日、グラスを見ていたら、ああ、思ったより透明な物体の再現は難しいのだなぁ…と感じ、夜走る車を見て、そういえば夜走るCGの車のCMって見たことないなぁ…とか思いました。
全く関係ありませんでしたが、これはちょっと見分けがつかなかったです。URL先を見てもらえばわかりますが、そういうことのようです。一昔前にかなりリアルだと感じた映画のCGシーンが今見るとそうでもなかったりして、果たしてこのシーンはどうなのでしょうか？ううむ…アンビリーバブォボ！

ティム・バートン最新作のトレイラーですよ。ヲイヲイ、まだビッグ・フィッシュも見てないや…。金のチケットは世界でたった5枚。運よくチケットが当たればチャーリーの工場にご招待！なんか、カタカナで ”ウォンカ” ってチョコに書いてあるのがなんか良い感じ。ウォンカって、日本の名前じゃないしね。あ、もしかしてコレって、ジョニー・デップ氏のファンはチョコレート食べたみたいに甘くとろけてね？とかそういうのなんでしょうか？ウソです。ごめんなさい。

アイディアを生み出すために、考え込んだり、口をあけたり、窓の外を眺めたりしていると、色々誤解を生むこともあったりなかったり。でも、このCMみたいに、アイディアの風船が本当に膨らんでくれれば「おお？浮かんできた？」とすぐ分かっていいですね。アイディアのメタ的CM。作った人も風船が膨らんだに違いない。

こういうの好きだなぁ。天然な人の頭の中ってこんな感じなんじゃないかな、と個人的にニヤニヤ思ってます。クオリティが高い上にエコロジカルなムービーです。

忘れてました、電車男。そうだ、じわじわと話題になり、ついにマンガにまでなったはいいものの、ちょっと間があきすぎたかな？という気もしますが、きれいなお姉さんは好きですか？エルメス役が中谷美紀ですよ！これは見るしかないなぁ。一人で。マトリックス風の演出でカキコが車窓を流れるシーンはよくわかりませんが、またまた2chが世に名を轟かせそうです。

電車男 - 予告編

いやぁ、ミサトがすごくてさぁ。てか、なんてプラグスーツみたいなの着てるの？みたいな。でも、巨大感溢れるネルフ内部のシーンはぐっと来たね。かつて世のメルヘン欝小僧(オレ)どもに多大な影響を与えたエヴァンゲリゴンのアメコミ風イメージボードが見れます。なにやら、映画用のものらしいですが、うーん。エイジアン。

Weta Workshop // Neon Genesis Evangelion - Gallery

先日、HotwiredがP2Pで配布可能な、というか、様々な意味でフリーな音楽ファイルを発表しましたが、ウェブページの大規模アーカイブプロジェクトである、archive.orgが"Night of the Living Dead"という古いホラームービーを公開中です。さすがにリミックスまではどうかわかりませんが(おそらく可能：著作権を明示するクレジットがなかったらしい)、こういう埋もれた作品が再び陽の目を見るのは、なんか、こう、うれしいですね(もしかして有名な作品？)。CDにも再販してくれないものがあったりするので、クリエイターの情熱を無にしないためにもこういうのはもっとやってくれ！という感じです。

57回カンヌ国際映画祭で最優秀男優賞を受賞した、柳楽優弥主演の、少年と象さんの映画です。内容はトレイラーから少しだけ覗けます。音楽は坂本龍一。象はやばいよね。ああ、象と話したい。

ああ！イントロのギターがかっこいい！よくできたFlashです。単発で攻めてきますが、テンポがいいです。あと絵も綺麗でよく動きます。スゲー。お金取らないで、いや、むしろ取らないからこそのクオリティーでしょうか？マクロメディアはFlash作って大正解です！

言うまでもなく、女性と男性の体は骨格からして 違います。骨格が違えば、ボディラインも違う、 その一見して微妙な差はデッサンなどでその感覚を 養うのでしょうが、その参考となるであろう、Flashムービーです。女性をガイコツから書いていくので、絵の上手い人がどのようなフローで女性を書いていくのか、分かりやすいです。

伝統的な手法と最新のデジタル技術で高度な動画をつくり出す『ハウルの動く城』制作のワークフローを追う

『ハウルの動く城』制作前の2003年春にデジタル制作環境をUNIX ワークステーションからWindows PCベースに切り替えたようです。

セルに絵画的タッチで描き込んでいく「ハーモニー処理」で描かれた城がデジタルカメラで撮影され、それをPhotoshop CSでパーツごとに分割しバラバラの状態に調整したあと 「SOFTIMAGE｜3D」で作成した板状のポリゴンにそれぞれ貼り込んだりといった内容がSS付きで。

ファーストフードを一日三食一ヶ月間食べ続けるとどうなるかを描いた「スーパーサイズ・ミー」が04年12月25日からシネマライズ他でロードショー。

DVDだけでは終わらなかったようです。

3dtotalでスペインで作られたショートムービー『La caja del corazón 』が見れます。レトロで味のあるアニメーションで、 台湾やマドリードでいくつか賞を獲っているらしい。詳しくはここ

オランダのアニメーション作家、マイケル・デュドク・ドゥ・ヴィット監督の「岸辺のふたり」が１８日から、東京・新宿テアトルタイムズスクエアでモーニング＆レイトショー公開されています。台詞のないアニメーションで８分程度の長さですが泣けるストーリーでとても良く出来ています。同監督の他の３作と合わせて３０分ほどの上映になるのだとか。

スタジオ４℃制作の映画「マインド・ゲーム」のDVDが　2004.12.22リリースです。
DVDの仕様は3パターンで"パーフェクトＢＯＸ"完全受注生産（予約しなければ手に入らない）のものと、絵コンテ、と映像特典ＤＩＳＣがついた"スペシャルＢＯＸ"、そして通常版の3種類なのだとか。

Imaginary Numbersは、数学的なアプローチでグラフィックを作る木本圭子さんによる作品です。ベクトル場や座標操作によりパーティクルのようなきれいなビジュアルを作り上げています。ウェブ上で動画と静止画の作品を見ることが出来ます。また出版されている本も写真集のようで一見の価値があります。

ジュリエット・ルイスがボーカルのPRODIGY "HOT RIDE"のPV。凶暴な子供達がたくさん出てくるところはAphex Twinの"Come To Daddy"に似てるなぁ、と素人ながら思ったのですが、なんか、歯止めの利かない感情って怖いないぁというのがよく出てると思われ。しかも、ちょっと純粋というか。特殊効果が出るかなぁと見ているとそうでもなかったのがちょっと残念ですが…。ところで舞台はどこなんだろうか。
